Responsibility towards society and social commitment: As in previous years, WIPOTEC donated the proceeds of the Christmas tombola 2017 to four charitable organizations. The proceeds of 12,000 EURO were divided equally between institutions in the region that look after elderly people, children and young people in difficult situations, people with disabilities and dementia patients.
"Alt-arm, -allein" is an organisation for the benefit of elderly people in the city and district of Kaiserslautern, which aims to alleviate the consequences of old-age poverty. The institution "Mama/Papa hat Krebs" supports children and adolescents in exceptional situations where one parent suffers from cancer. Together on the road - the joint project Landstuhl supports, accompanies, promotes and employs people with disabilities and long-term unemployed in the Palatinate and Saar Palatinate. In the day care centre for dementia patients from Kaiserslautern's city and district, a certified geriatric nurse, together with two volunteer, trained assistants, supervises a group of up to seven people per day.
