It was a joyous moment as a sea of colorful balloons ascended into the sunny skies while the music "Kinder an die Macht" (english: Power to the Children) by Herbert Grönemeyer played in the background. Everyone in the neighborhood knew that from now on, at Adam-Hoffmann Straße 28, the world belonged to the children.
Just a short time earlier, guests were impressed with a wonderfully rehearsed vocal performance by the children. The welcome words spoken by Mr. Düppre, Mr. Keggenhoff (state government), Mayor Dr. Weichel, and Mr. Weber (Lebenshilfe) rounded out the official part of the ceremony in a well-balanced mix. After the traditional ribbon-cutting and the balloon action, everyone spent a pleasant afternoon in the new, welcoming and child-friendly facility. Many people were heard to say: "How nice it would be to be a child again!"
Wipotec is very proud to sponsor the first privately funded, company child care center in the Kaiserslautern area and looks forward to a long cooperation with the charitable organization "Lebenshilfe Westpfalz." We are fortunate to have found such a perfect partner with such a wealth of experience in the child care profession and the management of child care centers. The facility occupies a space of 900 sqm, with an additional outdoor area of 3500 sqm and can accommodate 48 children with and without disabilities.
A special note of appreciation goes to the construction firms involved, who participated financially as well as through their special commitment and personal involvement to complete the facility in a record time of only nine months.
